About Me
My Background, My Vision, My Ideas For Your Website

This is about me thanking you for visiting my site and telling you a little bit more about myself. My name is Steve Harrison and I live in the UK.

I have always been interested in computers. Growing up in the 1980's, my interest started with the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

I soon moved from playing games to interests in programming and the hardware inside of the console.

Fast forward 15 years and I completed a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology degree and started my working life as an IT Support Officer in the UK National Health Service.

This is where I cut my teeth, learning about all areas of Information Technology, from Basic Computer Knowledge to Virus Removal.

My passion for fixing issues and helping others with their computer problems gives me job satisfaction.

I completed an MSc in Computing for Commerce and Industry (Opens New Window) in my own time on top of a full time job.

I am also a Professional Member of the British Computer Society (The Chartered Institute for IT) (Opens New Window) and a Chartered IT Professional.

I am also a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (Opens New Window).

Everything that I learn through my career in IT, academic study and computing work I do in my own time, I share with you.

About Me And Why I
Created This Site

There is nothing more frustrating than experiencing computer problems, without any support available. What do you do? Where do you start?

As a typical home computer user I recall these feelings of frustration

Computer Frustration We All Feel SometimesComputer Frustration We All Feel Sometimes

With a passion for computing and over 20 years experience providing computer support to both home and business users, I would like to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry I love with you.

It may surprise you to know that both you and business users experience similar computing problems.

Printers stop working, malware infects machines, and quite often your lives are made easier by knowing basic computer fix techniques.

That is what this website is all about, helping you to become your own computer support technician with some basic knowledge from a passionate tutor!

Want to know the secret of how I actually produced this website? Do you have a passion for something you need to tell the world about? You Can Do This Too!

Website Vision and Philosophy

My vision for this site is supporting you in fixing basic PC problems (and some complex issues for advanced home computer users), and supporting Computer Repair companies who should be your first point of contact for professional IT assistance.

I have a simple philosophy in life: help others when you can. The nature of IT technical support is to help people that are having difficulty with their computer system. And I love to teach! Voilá - this web site.

There is a lot of work to do to develop this website into what I have in mind for you. I am thoroughly looking forward to the journey.

I hope you enjoy this website.
